Rotary in Barbados Model United Nations Project
The three Rotary clubs in Barbados annually host a Mini Model United Nations Assembly for secondary school students. The Model United Nations exposes students to the topical international issues being addressed by the international community, creates awareness of the substantive considerations attached to those issues as well as the respective country positions taken, based on unique national interests by different countries in the General Assembly of the United Nations.
Students act as representatives from different countries and together seek resolutions on relevant issues. It is an extraordinary opportunity for students to become immersed in the workings of a multilateral environment.
